Marc selected for inclusion in the forthcoming 2009 edition of The Best Lawyers in America

Marc has been selected for inclusion in the forthcoming 2009 edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of International Arbitration. Marc was similarly selected for inclusion in the 2008 edition of Best Lawyers, six months after the opening of Marc J. Goldstein Litigation & Arbitration Chambers in March 2007.  The publishers of Best Lawyers state that selection “is based on an exhaustive and rigorous peer-review survey comprising . . . confidential evaluations by the top attorneys in the country.”

U.S. judicial developments concerning e-discovery

On October 1, 2008, Marc was a featured speaker at a conference on Electronic Discovery in Montreal, Canada, where he discussed U.S. judicial developments concerning e-discovery before an audience of Canadian in-house counsel and IT professionals.  Marc’s conference paper can be found in the Publications section of this website.

Marc engaged by the Export Development Canada (EDC)

Marc has been engaged by the Export Development Canada (“EDC”) to advance claims in federal litigation in the U.S. District Court for New Jersey.   EDC, a Crown Corporation of the Dominion of Canada based in Ottawa,  provides financial support for Canadian corporations doing business outside of Canada.  Marc has also been engaged as counsel to a New York investor and architect in an AAA construction arbitration in New York. Marc is also advising a Canadian corporation selling goods in the United States on US credit issues involving  US Department of Agriculture loan and loan guarantee programs.

Marc Speaks on E Discovery

Marc will be a panelist discussing current trends in E-Discovery at a conference in Montreal on October 1-2 entitled ‘Administration de la Preuve Electronique (E Discovery).’

The conference is presented by Insight Information, a division of American Lawyer Media, in collaboration with Canadian Lawyer and the Société Québécoise D’Information Juridique.
